I made this piece for our church while going through a sermon series on Revelation. I think it is ultimately a story about the Lamb of God who sits on the throne. God’s kingdom values turn our earthly values upside down. Christ “humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross.” (Phil. 2:8) John saw the symbol of Christ as a humble lamb. He conquered sin and death, as well as the dragon, not through military conquest, but by laying down his own life. The final Passover lamb has been slaughtered for our sake, and he now sits on the throne of Heaven. He is the Alpha and Omega, eternally healing, and bringing and end to what was broken in Eden.
