Eve, Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary - all women that Matthew mentions in the lineage of Christ. (Eve is assumed not named)

So often when researching these women’s stories in commentaries they are labeled with their sin and their sin alone. They are often faceless and few dig deeper to see things from their perspective and all too quickly label them. When I read through Matthew, I am reminded that the blood of Jesus robes them in white, covers their sin, re-writes their stories and binds them together into a beautiful family. May we all have the grace to see each other in the same way.
